Do you know how Aram Ghar got its name?
Here is the story behind the name “Aram Ghar”. Aram Ghar means Rest House.
Roda Mistry, a social worker has started an organization for mentally challenged in 1957 in Karwan area. However, the Government has taken the land in Karwan and allotted an alternative new site for their organization in Shivrampally area.
Later in 1962, she has restarted the organization for mentally challenged in the newly allotted site near ShivRamPally and based on the organization name the area has been called as “Aram Ghar”.
